If you're someone who believes in and supports POWER's work, one of the best ways you can demonstrate your support is by volunteering along side fellow POWER members and supporters. As a low-income led organization, we are very familiar with the art of juggling schedules, and we are VERY flexible! POWER is an all-volunteer, grassroots organization. That's right - that means we have absolutely no paid staff. Everything we do gets done thanks to countless hours of generously donated labor and energy on the part of our members and supporters. Currently, the vast majority of us who volunteer are very low-income, ourselves struggling to get by on a day-to-day basis. And while some day we look forward to being able to sustainably raise enough funds to provide our hard-working low-income volunteers with at least a small stipend - right now, it's a labor of love, determination, and dedication. But measured in terms of what we're able to accomplish together, rest assured - all of our hard work pays off big time.
